Driven.
Critical.
Adaptable.
Hey, I’m Daniella and I’m 20; currently coming towards the end of my three years studying Fashion Marketing and Branding at Nottingham Trent University. After a busy three years, I am excited to start my own journey within the fashion industry!Since studying fashion I have been given the opportunity to be involved in live projects, working with brands such as Gymshark and Facegym. These projects I have thoroughly enjoyed the most as they allowed us to network with industry experts and consumers and I have felt that this was when I excelled most. I have dedicated three years to a fashion course to be in a role within fashion when I graduate that I have always dreamed of. I have found that I would excel in a role within a team because I am a great communicator and am always ready to be proactive and hands on in any task I am given. All my experience including my university studies has required me to have exceptional communication skills which have led me to build on my own personality, resulting in me having a high level of confidence and professionalism. I can offer well-developed interpersonal skills, confidence and a demonstrable talent for written and verbal English gained through my past experience. I have strong time management skills, balancing a part-time job with my studies, and maintaining high grades. I am confident that I am a resourceful and creative young thinker, who is eager to get ‘hands-on’ with whatever tasks are sent my way no matter how big or small and am excited to see what my future holds!
Hobbies
Pilates
Exercise has always been something I value and make sure I do regularly, not just for my physical health but most importantly, for my mental health. Within the last year I took the plunge to try something new, as I was finding the gym quite repetitive, so I decided to try out pilates and I loved it! It was something new and different and has become part of my weekly routine and I don't regret it.
Dog Walks
Where I live at home I’m surrounded by beautiful walks, and I love to take the time to take my dog Ruby (who is basically my child!) on long walks by myself or with a friend. It is also funnily enough when my best ideas come to mind, probably because it's when my mind is the clearest.
Pinterest Boards
For years I’ve used Pinterest for life inspiration, whether that be for fashion, food or travel I’ve created a board. Most recently I’ve used it for university work, to gain inspiration for the layout of projects and just images in general. Creating mood boards has motivated my future career path and enhanced my overall creativity and I honestly think I will never stop doing them.
Portfolio
Whilst studying Fashion Marketing and Branding at Nottingham Trent there were many projects that required us to be creative and explore various creative software apps. It further encouraged my creative side to come out and I even surprised myself with what I thought I was capable of when it came to using Adobe software such as Photoshop and Indesign.Below are some examples of past work I have done over my three-year course!
(Year 3)
This project required extensive research into a chosen macro trend, which required us to discover where there was a lack of robust research, and we then had to conduct our own primary research to fill in this gap. I chose to research luxury streetwear and the implications the streetwear market has had on luxury's reputation.

Gymshark Live Project
(Year 2)
This project required us to write a 3-year marketing strategy for Gymshark, along with a 1-year communication plan for the new business ventures we came up with. We further got to visit the Gymshark HQ, where we got to network and have an insight into what goes on behind the scenes at Gymshark!
Collaboration Project with Fashion Design
(Year 2)
This was an exciting opportunity, as we got paired with a fashion design student and took their designs and built a whole brand and marketing strategy around them. Bringing their vision to life.
Experience
DEPOP SELLER
In 2020 lockdown, I took to growing my own Depop account and bulk-bought vintage clothing including designer pieces from brands such as Dolce and Gabbana and Burberry and successfully resold the items at a higher price point on Depop. I have also accumulated 748 followers there and 85 five-star reviews.
SOCIAL MEDIA
I was given the opportunity to work with the social media team at Barrington James Recruitment. The experience enabled me to get involved in important team meetings with managers and give my opinion on how they could grow their social media platforms. I also created social media content and posts for the company on TikTok and Instagram. This experience allowed me to gain a clear insight into how marketing works within a company.
WAITRESSING AND BAR STAFF
I have had 4 years in the hospitality industry, balancing my studies with a part-time job. This job required working efficiently within a team and providing excellent customer service.
Career Aspirations
PR and Communications
I feel that I would excel in a PR and communications role as I always value and appreciate the importance of withholding a positive public image for a brand. Through past experience I have always worked my hardest to make sure I positively impact a business and add strong value. During university work I have enjoyed projects the most when networking or working within a team was necessary. I have always excelled as a student and been more motivated and excited about these projects, as communicating with new people is the type of environment that I thrive most in.
Executive Assistant
My past experience has required me to always be in ever-changing environments and be involved in a fast pace workplace. This has made me become very highly adaptable and calm under pressure person, this is why I feel as though I would suit beginning my fashion career in an executive assistant role. My time management and diary planning have developed over my three years at university by managing part-time jobs alongside my studies, which further would make me an excellent fit for an assistant role.
